We have tirelessly worked with the local communities of Mindanao and some parts of the Philippines so that we can patronize and support local producers and suppliers. In line with Kaza's goal to promote Filipino design and artistry, our blankets, were weaved by communities of women in the Ilocos province.
Zati, whose grandmother hails from Ilocos, would use inabel blankets in their home and Zati always found them to be comfortable and beautiful. Having inabel blankets in Kaza and is her way of showing her appreciation for the tradition of inabel blanket weaving in her grandmother's hometown. By doing so, allows us to help them pass on the age-old practices of inabel loom weaving to the younger generations so that the tradition of weaving can continue to live on.
As much as possible, we also hired staff and workers from the local communities so that we can provide jobs in our locality. What some of the workers lack in experience, they make up for with grit, passion and a LOT of heart.
Our aim is to be your home in the island. While you’re here, we want you to think of us as your family and as such we will try our outmost to give you only the best that this island can offer.
